As president and CEO, Mr. Ainsley will draw on his expertise guiding the growth of international companies to accelerate ShopperTrak’s ongoing expansion, positioning it for long-term success as the retail industry’s clear leader in strategic intelligence and information products. Additionally, he will be responsible for leading all aspects of the company’s day-to-day operations as they relate to revenue growth and company direction.

Following a three-month executive search, Mr. Ainsley, 49, was hand-selected to lead the company by ShopperTrak’s co-founder, Bill Martin, and the company’s board of directors. Mr. Martin will continue to serve as executive vice president of sales and a member of the company’s executive leadership team.

Mr. Ainsley comes to ShopperTrak from The Patent Board, Chicago, where he served as president and chief executive officer since January 2007. In that position, he successfully transitioned the company from a consultancy to a business model of online tools and analytical products.

"We have experienced tremendous growth over the past four years and have reached a point where we recognize the need for additional expertise and leadership to meet our long-term strategic goals," said Mr. Martin. "Christopher’s proven background in strategic development and international expansion uniquely qualifies him to lead ShopperTrak through the next phases of our evolution."

Mr. Martin added that in the past four years, ShopperTrak has doubled its revenues, tripled the number of traffic monitoring products installed, increased its employee base from 100 to 150, added three new distribution channels and significantly expanded its international presence.

Prior to joining LexisNexis Mr. Ainsley served for more than three years as president and chief executive officer of Chicago-based Wolters Kluwer Health, one of three international divisions of Wolters Kluwer NA, the global business publisher headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
