Tips, tricks, and and advice on how to see ShopperTrak at NRF 2018.

We’re incredibly excited about ShopperTrak at NRF 2018. We’re part of the Tyco Retail Solutions booth, #3103, right next to Microsoft – come say hello! In the meantime, here’s some handy advice for navigating the EXPO hall, as well as some tips for planning a successful Big Show 2018.

It’s called the Big Show for a reason: NRF’s Big Show 2018 will bring together a crowd of more than 35,000 attendees from 3,500+ retail companies, an EXPO hall housing more than 600 exhibitors, and countless speakers and thought leaders who will deliver, keynotes, stage sessions, breakouts, and more.

Map out your plan of attack

Get ahold of the Expo Hall floorplan, as well as the Javit’s convention center map. Figure out where you need to be and take a moment to note the location of any exhibitors you plan to visit. Map out an efficient route, so that you can maximize your time on the showroom floor. You can find ShopperTrak on the floorplan at booth #3103.

Do your homework

Browse the agenda and make a hit list of the sessions, social and networking events you’ll want to attend. Do the same with the exhibitor list. For the top exhibitors on your list, take a moment to do a bit of research and scroll through their website. This way, you’ll be prepared with specific questions when you visit a booth.

Make sure to mark ShopperTrak’s Big Ideas session on your calendar, as we’ll be discussing “Achieving New Levels of Customer Engagement with Prescriptive Retail Analytics” with two retail leaders!

Register in advance

Register! And, when you do, don’t forget that NRF has an entire section of its website devoted to retailer networking programs. Sign up here to gain access to special sessions like Women in Retail and Startup Meetups. Don’t forget to reserve your spot!

Take notes

The number of people you meet at the EXPO Hall can be overwhelming, so don’t rely on memory alone. Take notes on your conversations as soon as they are finished. If you’re in a time crunch, think of a few key words that will refresh your memory of the meeting. Having these details on-hand will make personalized follow-ups a breeze.

Make the most of social media

Join in on the buzz of the conference online. Follow the hashtag #nrf18 to hear thoughts from other attendees, and don’t be shy to post your own. Social media is a great way to connect with peers in your industry. Follow ShopperTrak’s NRF journey on Twitter here.
